More fun with crafts

I have been wanting to make a ribbon board for a long time but never got around to making one. I had some free time this weekend so I decided to try it out!
Supplies:
For my office at work:
For the kitchen:
This project was so much fun! For the first one I was using a miniature stapler and it wasn't going so well. When it came time to put the ribbon on, the mini stapler wasn't cutting it. I went and borrowed a staple gun from my mother and it made things 100thousand times easier! The second one came together in 1/2 the time of the first thanks to the staple gun. Unfortunately the one for the kitchen is too big to put in the spot I was imagining, but hopefully I can find a different place for it.

Finally....

...we painted the dining room. I have been talking about it for WEEKS and not doing it. I am so glad it is (mostly) done. The room will be getting a chair rail and the wall under the rail will be painted a deep red. I am so excited. The cream turned out a bit more white than, cream, but I like it. You cannot tell much of a difference in the pictures, but it looks pretty =]

It looks really nice in person and I absolutely cannot wait to paint the red. Before I can do the red we must paint the office so we can actually start unpacking. The office is going to be painted a really bright blue, but a very specific blue that I am SO excited about!

Crafty!

This was the first of many crafty projects for the house:

Before:

After:
I found this little treasure at Goodwill on Senior day, so with my mother in tow, I got it for $2! It was my first experience with spray painting, it was fun! I think it turned out well and it was exactly what I was looking for.

Picture updates!

GOLDFISH POND! This is half the reason I wanted this house. I am mostly kidding. I love that the front porch has a flower garden and a pond.

I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoy my "bucket of sticks".
Ooooh, shiny =]
Gorgeous dining room set.

Family room walls post painting. The color turned out amazing. It looks like melted chocolate ice cream.
Bedroom set with awesome zebra sheets.

Since I had lost my camera charger, these are all the updated pictures I have. The amazing dbf found my camera charger yesterday! So, once we actually make some more progress on the house pictures shall come!
